Volunteer Services

"It was the right time to join
Georgetown Village."

"My husband Guy had been diagnosed with Alzheimer disease and I was wondering how I would cope with this. As Guy’s condition progressed, I realized what a great help the Village was. Volunteers did grocery shopping for us, yard work, handiwork around the house, provided transportation, etc. In these circumstances, to know that the Village was a phone call away was a tremendous morale booster and helpful relief.

Then Guy passed away, peacefully, at home.

For Guy we joined the Village. Now, of course, Georgetown Village is still here, for me. I feel the experience was rewarding and… priceless!" - MRdL
