Volunteer Services

"It was the right time to join
Georgetown Village."

"My husband Guy had been diagnosed with Alzheimer disease and I was wondering how I would cope with this. As Guy’s condition progressed, I realized what a great help the Village was. Volunteers did grocery shopping for us, yard work, handiwork around the house, provided transportation, etc. In these circumstances, to know that the Village was a phone call away was a tremendous morale booster and helpful relief.

Then Guy passed away, peacefully, at home.

For Guy we joined the Village. Now, of course, Georgetown Village is still here, for me. I feel the experience was rewarding and… priceless!" - MRdL

Don't be discouraged as some of us were the first time we tried to deliver our Vote by Mail ballots. The slot is open so you can either mail or use this box for your vote. Georgetown Village is happy to provide to transportation for our members who wish to vote in person.

The Board of Elections is committed to providing a safe environment where every vote is counted. Voting by mail is strongly encouraged to protect the public and election workers. Voting by mail is safe, secure and simple.  Of course, you don't have to vote by mail. The city will still offer in person voting, both ahead of election day and on it. You can go to any early voting center to vote, but the closest to Georgetown will be Hardy Middle School.
